Requires a Vulture Advocacy Team Leader for Vulture Advocacy Programme

 

Details about the job opening: the Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) is looking out for a well motivated and committed Vulture Advocacy Team Leader with the passion for nature conservation and wildlife for its Vulture Advocacy Programme as well as the ability to build up a team. 

Job Description: To lead the advocacy challenges facing vultures across India. To interact regularly with Government Officials, Veterinarians, Volunteers as well as rural farmers. To oversee and build up small taskforce teams who will operate in other regions of India to effectively remove unsafe veterinary painkillers from the environment.

 

Job Specifications: The potential candidate should ideally have a Doctorate or post graduate degree, preferably in Life Sciences or Veterinary Sciences.  Any medical training or experience will be an added advantage.  Excellent Communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills are required. Potential candidate should ideally be above 35 years.

 

The person will be joining an evoluing programme which addresses one of the highest profile conservation issues of recent times. The new phase plans to expand the work to a regional level, and this person will need to be willing to travel around India and internationally to oversee and help develop a large proportion of this growing programme. It will involve working with international partners, but within the BNHS team.

 

Location: Delhi

 

Remuneration: Negotiable
