Bird Migration Certificate course conducted by ENVIS

ENVIS RP on Avian Ecology, Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) organized a Certificate course on Bird Migration and Migration Study Techniques. Duration of the course was from 27th August 2018 to 06th October 2018. Eighteen eligible participants were chosen from various states of India.

This course was led by Dr. Girish Jathar, ENVIS Coordinator & ENVIS team i.e. Mr. Sagar Satpute (Programme Officer), Ms. Sushmita Karmakar (Information Officer), Ms. Heta Akolkar (IT Officer) and Ms. Kritalee Chindarkar (Data Entry Operator). Experts included in this course were Dr. S. Balachandran, Dr. Rajat Bhargava, Dr. P. Sathiyaselvam, Dr. Ramesh Kumar, Dr. Raju Kasambe, Ms. Tuhina Katti, Mr. Sameer Bajru, Mr. Vithoba Hegde, Mr. Vinod Patil, Mr. Rohan Bhagat, Mr. Nandkishore Dudhe and Ms. Madhumita Panigrahi.

The participants had also interacted with the staff from the Odisha Forest Department, Chilika Development Authority and a Research Scholar of North Orissa University during their field visit at Point Calimere.
