Sálim Ali Nature Conservation Fund (SANCF)

SANCF provided small grants for the projects leading to conservation of biodiversity. Some of the projects funded by SANCF are listed below

1. Status survey of the  Wild Buffalo Bubalus bubalis, in Raipur and Bastar districts, Madhya Pradesh

3. A status report of elephant   corridor   between Nilgiri eastern slope reserve forests and Coimbatore forest division linking Silent valley National Park in the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve
4. A re-survey and monitoring of arboreal mammals along the riverine habitats on Mundanthurai Plateau, Kalakad-Mumdanthurai Tiger Reserve, TN
5. Conservation of freshwater chelonians in Barak Valley, Assam
6. Report on Ecology of the Asian Elephant (Elephas maximus) with Special Reference to Ranging and Resource Utilization in the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, South India
7. Status and conservation of olive ridley (Lepidochelys olivacea) in Orissa coast, India – an assessment of sea turtle mortality along the coast
8. Status survey of the Indian Swift Collocalia unicolor in South Konkan
9. Assessing the distribution and status of wild tiger population outside the PAs in Maharashtra
