Monsoon trail at Malshej Ghat

Situated 154 km away from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai, Malshej Ghat is known for misty hilltops, gushing waterfalls and breathtaking landscapes. Malshej has a good variety of flora and fauna. It is home to Maharashtra’s state animal, the shy Malabar Giant Squirrel. Grade: Easy

Reporting: Bus will leave from Dadar T.T. (near Chandu Halwai) at 06:00 a.m., Chembur (near Diamond Garden) at 06:20 a.m., Thane (Cadbury Jn.) at 06:40 a.m. and Kalyan (Birla College) at 07:10 a.m.

The group should be back at Dadar by late evening. Please carry packed food, hat/cap and adequate water. Be prepared for rains.

Charges: Rs. 1,500/- for members, Rs. 1,600/- for others (includes transport and BNHS expertise only).
