World Environment Day celebration, 2019

Every year the World Environment Day is celebrated on 5th June. The theme for World Environment Day 2019 is “Air pollution”. Let’s start this day under the forest canopy. It’s the best possible way to learn the importance of trees and the forest ecosystem which provide us with fresh air and a clean environment.

Thus, on this eve ENVIS RP on Avian Ecology, BNHS and Conservation Education Centre (CEC) are organizing a half day workshop which includes a nature trail and an indoor session on basic bird identification.

World Environment Day celebration

Every year the World Environment Day is celebrated on 5th June. This year’s theme for World Environment Day is “Air pollution”.

ENVIS-BNHS along with CEC celebrated this day at the CEC-Goregaon premises. More than 30 people had participated in this event. The day had started with a trail under the forest canopy. The next part of the event was graced by a presentation on ‘Monsoon Magic’ by Ms. Katie Bagli, the renowned Children book’s author and an avid nature lover. Her session was followed by a presentation on ‘Bird Identification’ by Mr. Nandkishor Dudhe, Programme Officer, ENVIS-BNHS and CEC.
