Bird Walk at TS Chankya

The TS Chanakya offers a unique experience in exploring the rich birdlife around the wetland habitats along Palm Beach Road. During the start of the migration season, participants can see wetland birds like the Painted Stork, Indian Shag, Slender-billed Gull, Pacific Golden Plover, Common Redshank, Black-tailed Godwit, Eurasian Marsh Harrier, Osprey and Lesser and Greater Flamingos. In addition, other birds such as Red Avadavat, Indian Silverbill, Scaly-breasted Munia, Bluethroat, Indian Roller, Baya Weaver, and Grey Francolin; and if they have arrived, the first glimpses of the flamingos can be spotted here.

Grade: Easy (2–3 km of easy walk) Reporting: Front of the underpass entrance near the TS Chanakya, Nerul at 8:15 a.m. The programme will conclude between 10:00-10:30 a.m.
Charges: Rs. 700/- for members, Rs. 800/- for others.
Cost includes: Entry ticket/permission charges (if any) and BNHS expertise only.
